Skills You’ll Learn
“How to Draw Well”
Collaboration with Riotgames
Hello, I'm Sangsoo, a concept artist and illustrator. I've worked at WEMADE, NetEase Games, and collaborated with Riot Games and Pearl Abyss.
Why did you come to this class? There may be various motives and reasons, but what is clear is that you came here to get better at drawing. Most of you will keep on drawing in the future, and maybe work in the same industry as me, or are already a fellow artist.
I hope you, my Classmates and fellow artists, grow through this class. I hope you get influenced and inspired by me or other classmates and grow to be creators who shine on each other.
I will spare no details on ways to get better at drawing. I hope this class can be a stepping stone for you.
Sharing Sangsoo Jeong's Work Process for the First Time
Before drawing for real, we will be looking into your work process. Let's talk about how and in what order you draw and why you draw that way to figure out what you're lacking. Afterwards, I'll also discuss my own work process and what an efficient process is.
Throughout this class, I will focus on giving you necessary know-hows along the process rather than being bound by textbook theories. Of course it would be nice to be able to teach theories thoroughly, but I think what is more important is how well you apply what you have learned to your actual drawing process.
I planned this class focusing on giving out as many tips on drawing as possible. Let's draw and practice together so that my know-hows can be applied to your drawings.
Sticking to the Basics Will Make Your Drawing Complete!
What improves the quality of your drawing is not a brilliant technique or a clever design, but a solid set of basic skills. Accurate form, volume, light adjustment, color expression according to changes in light, composition, pose, and brush control are the basics of drawing.
Through this class, I'm going to talk about basic skills. Although the target of the class is intermediate students, basic skills are necessary for everyone from beginners to experts, and for everyone who wants to draw regardless of the drawing style.
It's Time to Make Valuable Drawings.
There are so many people who aspire to be original artists. In order to survive in this market that has already become a red ocean, one must make oneself valuable.
From strengthening basic skills to demonstrating my work process of line drawing, adding light, coloring, and design, in addition to my story as a concept artist and illustrator. I have prepared a class that will help you become an outstanding artist.
I hope this class will give you the courage to take a step further, and be a piece of realistic advice as you walk the long and difficult path of drawing.
I'll see you in class.

Hello, I'm Sang-soo, a concept artist and illustrator!
I have never learned art at school so I just drew like I'm jumping in the deep end. Therefore, I don't know much about textbook art, but I want to share my practical theory for drawing I've learned more than a decade of trial and error.
I think drawing is difficult. I've been drawing for over 10 years, but I still find it difficult.
I don't think taking my class will make drawing easier. However, for those who feel like they are stuck at a dead end and about to give up, I will show you a road that is difficult but still can be walked.
